This project was created to address subjects in the Christian church that are neglected. Topics were submitted by students, professors, and other members of my community anonymously. I took the topics and applied them onto the lip of mugs using slip, which is clay that has been thinned out with water. When creating this project, I was forced to reckon with each topic and think about how I can be a better human, Christian, and Church member. As you engage with the mugs and those around you, I encourage you to think about those questions as well as the topics on the mugs. The purpose of these mugs is to enable conversations about topics—in and outside of the Church—that may otherwise be ignored. My hope for this project is that everyone is able to reflect on thier role as a member of the Church, locally and internationally, by engaging in conversation spurred on by these mugs.
