This piece is an ode to my father, and his influence in my life as an artist, student, and person. The tea set is made of stoneware, and I used slip to hand-write each word seen on the pieces. The words are from a letter he gave me before I started my freshman year of college. A letter full of advice, encouragement, and vulnerability. The letter perfectly spans the five pieces in the tea set, two cups, one teapot, a milk pitcher, and sugar jar.
